Result
MCGx developed a new Operate Phase Well Operations Management Plan for eight ultra-high-rate gas wells (250 MMscf/d each) that was formally accepted by NOPSEMA. The work established an innovative Part A / Part B structure that enabled first production on schedule and was adopted as the operator’s standard template for future regulatory submissions.
Problem
The project required an Operate Phase WOMP demonstrating how well integrity would be managed across eight high-rate wells while maintaining ALARP loss-of-containment risk. Large volumes of integrity, risk, and regulatory material existed but were fragmented. The regulator required a standalone, audit-ready submission that separated lifecycle accountabilities without duplicating Execute Phase documentation.

MCGx recognised that regulator confidence is built through structure, not volume. Through 10+ direct engagements with NOPSEMA, MCGx developed an entirely new WOMP framework linking the operator’s enduring integrity system with asset-specific risks, barriers, surveillance, and response arrangements, demonstrating ALARP risk from first production.
